WHAT OUR ATHLETES SAY
TAKUNDA RUSIKE
CAPTAIN & CO-FOUNDER
Our program gives an inclusive space for current and future generations of Black woman athletes to play rugby.
The future for women, and specifically Black women, in
rugby is bright, and I cannot wait to see how far the Howard Rugby Club goes.
KAMEREN HALIDAY
on trying rugby:
Joining this team out of curiosity has been one of the most rewarding things I've done at Howard. It's a unique experience where I get to push myself mentally and physcially along side my team and make great friends to smile and laugh with.
Playing rugby at Howard has always been my dream. After playing rugby for years in high school, I always wanted to start a team at this University and expand the HBCU rugby community. I'm very proud and excited to help bring rugby to the Mecca.
